Notable characteristics: We received this tree peony in a trade from John Simkins, founder of the Canadian Peony Society, over twenty years ago. Mr. Simkins was an avid peony grower and he considered this to be the finest pink tree peony to be produced from his breeding program. New growth in the early spring is a distinct shade of chartreuse. Flowers open late, with the latest Japanese tree peonies. We always look forward to it’s sumptuous, light pink blossoms. When in bloom, this cultivar is a visitor favorite, everyone wants one!
Cultivar group, hybridizer and year introduced: Japanese-type suffruticosa, Simkins, year unknown.
Growth habit and size at maturity (10 years old): Upright habit, grows to 4′ tall and 3′ wide. Foliage is a very attractive matte green.
Flower form and size: Full semi-double blossoms to 10″.
Flower fragrance: Sweet.
Bloom time: Late season tree peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the last week of May or first week of June.
Zone hardiness: Proven in USDA zones 4-9.
Plant size: 1 year old grafted tree peonies have 1 woody stem, with offshoot buds, and a graft root. The plant may or may not have some of its own roots already developed. This one may bloom its first spring in the ground, or will wait until the second spring.

Due to multiple entities which include the factory as well as the warehouse, we cannot effectively manage inventory. The stock levels may fluctuate at any time. It is possible that your order may be out of stock once your order has been made.
Our policy is for 30 days. If 30 days have gone without a trace since the purchase however, we're unable to give you a return or exchange.
The item must not be used, and it must be in the original packaging. It should also be returned in its original packaging.
