Originally seedling # 511/9. Parentage is unknown, but the seed came from famed US breeder Bill Seidl in the early 1990s. It was grown out, selected and named by Jane and Trevor Sutherland of Southern Charm Paeonies in Timaru, New Zealand in 2001. We imported this rare tree peony from New Zealand in 2014 and it has since become a visitor favorite.
