Notable characteristics: This hybrid has pale lavender petals shading to cream toward center. Cupped flowers draw the eye inward with deep red flares at the center. Extremely vigorous. One of our favorite intersectional varieties.
Cultivar group, hybridizer and year introduced: Intersectional peony, Roger Anderson/Bill Seidl, 1996.
Growth habit and size at maturity (10 years old): Upright grower, grows to 3.5′ tall and 4′ wide.
Flower form and size: Single form blossoms, 4-6″ and upward facing. Flowers held well above and around the dark green foliage.
Flower fragrance: Light, sweet.
Bloom time: Early season ‘Itoh’ intersectional hybrid peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the first through third week of June.
Zone hardiness: Proven in USDA zones 4-9.
