Notable characteristics: This is a beautiful flower, one of our visitors’ favorites! This peony is known as an intersectional, or “Itoh”‘ which is a cross between a tree and a herbaceous peony. It will grow in full sun, or 5-6 hours of sun, in well-drained soil. The flowers are large, opening a deep rose, changing to peach and ending a pale yellow color. Size is 7-8 inches in diameter, with a light, sweet fragrance. It is a fast growing plant, height to about 34 inches tall and spreading to 36 inches wide. Deer resistant.
It is still rare and not widely sold. It was hybridized by Roger Anderson in the U.S. and we think it is a real prize plant to add to a peony collection.

Growth habit and size at maturity : Upright and symmetrical, flowers held well above the foliage. Grows to 3′ tall and 3′ wide.
Flower form and size: Numerous heavy semi-double to double, 7-8″.
Flower fragrance: Light and lemony.
Bloom time: Late season intersectional peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the first or second week of June.
Zone hardiness: Proven in USDA zones 4-9.
Plant size: 4-5 ‘eyes’ or buds with proportional roots. This size plant will most likely flower in its first or second spring in the ground.

Our policy is for 30 days. If 30 days have gone without a trace since the purchase however, we're unable to give you a return or exchange.
The item must not be used, and it must be in the original packaging. It should also be returned in its original packaging.
