Variety description: This cultivar boasts striking foliage splashed with white. The dark pink pea-shaped flowers emerge in April just before the leaves begin to show in shades of copper pink and soft green.
Height and Spread at Maturity: 20′ tall and 15′ wide
Site requirements: Redbuds grow well in full sun in the northern part of its range but will benefit from some shade in the southern zones, particularly in the lower mid-west where summers are hot. Best growth occurs in a light, rich, moist soil but Redbud adapts well to a variety of soil including sandy or alkaline.
Hardiness: USDA zones 4B through 9A.
